Professional Background
Kelse Matthews is a certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA, 2019) and a certified Flexologist in Stretch Theory through StretchLab (2024). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Psychology (2019) and a Master of Science in Educational Psychology and Research (2022), both from The University of Memphis.
Since 2018, Kelse has specialized in personal training for weight loss, muscle development, glute sculpting, and conditioning. Yet, she views personal training as just one part of a much larger mission for RESI.fit—to revolutionize how people understand and connect with their bodies.
In 2024, Kelse began bridging the gap between mind and body training, developing science-based structures that integrate both physical and cognitive performance. She has since refined her expertise in 1-on-1 assisted stretching, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), myofascial release, and trigger point therapy.
Through every client interaction, Kelse has learned that each body holds its own story—its own roots, reasons, and rhythms. Her work is grounded in uncovering the “why” behind pain, dysfunction, and compensation patterns, helping clients not only move better but understand themselves on a deeper level.
My Mission
At RESI.fit, our mission is to redefine fitness as a therapeutic intervention—one built on the four pillars of Grit, Positive Psychology, Exercise, and Nutrition. Every program, session, and class is designed through this integrated framework to strengthen the body, empower the mind, and elevate overall well-being.
Our goal is to guide you in building sustainable habits, rewiring neural pathways that heal and fortify your body, and cultivating trust in your mind’s ability to lead your body with purpose. Through this process, you gain the tools to take ownership of your physical and mental health, ultimately stepping into the most resilient, confident version of yourself.
Each program is grounded in science-based structure, individually tailored each day to meet the evolving needs and goals of every client. At RESI.fit, we believe that true progress begins with a solid foundation—perfecting form, stabilizing weak or hypermobile joints, improving mobility and flexibility, and fueling your body with proper nutrition, rest, and recovery outside the gym.
Looking forward, RESI.fit is dedicated to advancing research in Embodied Cognition, Grit, Positive Psychology, and Kinesiology, using client outcomes to contribute to peer-reviewed studies and professional conferences. In the future, Kelse aims to expand this work into somatic therapy, exploring how trauma is stored within the body and muscles—and how movement, awareness, and release can unlock deeper healing and restoration. In doing so, RESI.fit strives not only to transform individual lives but also to advance the science of human performance and emotional resilience.

"Be the foundation for growth."
